Hi friends! Welcome to The 1988. This space is just so special.

Back in high school, I was completely burnt out on reading. Throughout the years I had been assigned books to read, research, study, memorize. Needless to say reading wasn’t my thing.

My freshman year of college, I was home over Christmas break and within two days of being home used the infamous phrase, “I am bored.” My mom lovingly threw me a book and said try reading this. Needless to say I was hooked. Reading became fun again when it was on my terms. I was able to discover authors and genres that spoke to me. Being able to escape from the day to a place of magic and new characters is truly a gift.

Initially a romance girlie, fantasy has quickly won my heart. My absolute favorite book is one with good character development. It gets me every time no matter the genre.
